As affiliated clubs of Basketball Scotland you should have all received an email (please see copy below) from Kevin Pringle, CEO, confirming \u201cPostponement of All Basketball Scotland Competitions\u201d with immediate effect.<\/p>\n
Therefore, in line with our governing body, SLBA are postponing all SLBA competition with immediate effect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Remaining league games and cup finals<\/strong><\/p>\n The SLBA Executive Committee will monitor this situation and advise clubs in due course.<\/p>\n We will provide a further update should this situation change.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Following message from Kevin Pringle:<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Subject: COVID-19 Coronavirus Update \/ 13 March 2020 #2 – POSTPONEMENT OF ALL BASKETBALLSCOTLAND COMPETITIONS<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n POSTPONEMENT OF ALL BASKETBALLSCOTLAND COMPETITIONS<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Dear Club Secretary,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Further to our earlier statement, things have moved significantly today and, following feedback from a number of clubs and a number of self-isolations being highlighted across various clubs, basketballscotland are postponing all basketball with immediate effect. The health and safety of all our players, coaches, officials and spectators is of paramount importance.\u00a0 Please take the steps to inform those affected the decision as quickly as possible, particularly those due to participate this evening.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n This has been a really challenging decision to take and we appreciate the impact it may have on clubs ahead of the weekend.
